Children and Young People

Children, young people and families are an important part of our church family.  Our main provision on Sundays is at St Mary's where The 1030 service at St Mary's includes all age, worship, packed with family friendly activities.

There are specific activities for various age groups during the week, e.g. Tots on Tuesdays and a Youth Group on Mondays.

There are special events during the year, for example:

  • Messy Christingle at the start of Advent
  • Light Party in October
  • The Great Egg Roll on Good Friday

The 1030

At St. Mary's every service is designed to welcome families.

On the First Sunday of the month we meet as All Ages together.
This service boasts a distinct quality where individuals of all generations come to worship, learn and have fun together. We aim to keep services to under an hour, carefully crafting an assortment of activities; from science & craft to action & prayer, engaging all.

On other Sundays we start together with All Age worship and an activity then children move to Trailblazers.

Come early for toast and a chat. (Refreshments from 10am.)

Trailblazers at St Mary's

Trailblazers is the name we give to our children’s group that meet during The 1030 service at St Mary's Twyford, in term time, aimed at children aged from 3 – 11 years.

The first part of the morning we spend worshipping with our families and our church family in the main service before we move into the Church Centre.

In Trailblazers, we take a look at a Bible story or part of Christian life and have loads of fun with craft activities, games, drama and prayer. There’s even sometimes lego, playdoh or cooking. It’s a time when we can share our ideas and thoughts about all sorts of things as we love to chat!

See you there.

Youth Group

Our Monday night Youth group is an exciting combination of games, chat, food and Bible study.  Contact the office for more details.
