Bell Ringing at St Nicholas Hurst.

There are eight bells at Hurst rung from a groundfloor ringing chamber. The oldest bell dates back to the 1600s.

We practice on Monday evenings at from 7.30pm to 9pm and ring on alternate Sundays from 10.30 to 11am.

Ringers of all experience are welcome to join us. We are often joined by ringers from Twyford, the other band in our benefice, and we regularly join them on Friday evening too.

We are a friendly group, often extending ringing evenings by a trip to "The Castle" opposite the church for a drink or two. We also arrange outings to other churches, often as a benefice, and join in local deanery ringing events.

The tower is affiliated to the Oxford Diocesan Guild of Bellringers. The Sonning Deanery  website can be found at for more information about local ringing events.
