There are all sorts of ways we can pray – alone, in groups and in church:
Prayers of Intercession form a key part in our services. They are typically led by members of the congregation.
Many people subscribe to the monthly Prayer Diary and/or to the email Prayer Chain. If you would like to take part in one of them or both, please contact the church office (see Contacts page).
At St Nicholas, the weekly newsletter includes those known to us in need of prayer for reasons of sickness, those recently died and those whose anniversary of death falls within the week. Some people use these lists in their personal prayer during the week as well often being incorporated into the intercessions in our main services. If you know someone that would like to be added to that list then please do send an email to the office (see Contacts page).
At St Mary’s, two members of the Prayer Ministry Team are usually available to pray with individuals during or after the 10.30am service.
‘Prayers to Start the Week’ in St Mary’s Corner Room every Monday at 9am is for everyone: it includes a short Bible study followed by prayers for individuals, church and community.
