Mission Action Plan
Our Mission Action Plan covers the three churches of the Twyford Area LEP (St Mary’s Twyford, St James’ Ruscombe and Twyford URC). It builds on our Mission, Vision and Values, which you can read about elsewhere in these pages.
St Nicholas’ Hurst are at a different stage in their planning and growth process and have therefore developed a Vision & Values statement tailored to their own situation.
The LEP Mission Action Plan (MAP) takes as its starting point our Vision: “Loved by Christ and Challenged to Grow”. In the plan, we focus on how God is calling us to grow in four particular areas of our life together:
- Grow in our personal discipleship
- Grow in our corporate discipleship
- Grow in our effectiveness as instruments of the kingdom in our communities
- Grow as congregations
One of the ways in which we will measure our progress against the plan is by seeing if we have grown in our ability, individually and as a community, to live out the 5 key gospel values identified in our vision process in 2012:
- Sacrificial Service and Giving
- Humility and Integrity
- Faithfulness and Trust
- Being rooted in the Word
- Unconditional Love
The Mission Action Plan was launched at our Annual Meeting in April 2015. You can download a copy of the plan here.
At our Annual Meeting in April 2018, we gave a report on the first 2½ years of the plan and invited discussion and feedback. The results of this discussion were captured in Mission Action Plan Update No 6 which was published in October 2018. You can find a copy of this Update here.
