Links with the wider world
As a church, we are committed to giving 10% (about £15,000) of our annual income to our four Mission Partners and other charities. We support:
Christians Against Poverty
New for 2015 and 2016 we have partnered with Christians Against Poverty ('CAP'). CAP are passionate about lifting people out of debt and poverty through their debt help service.
The Church Army
The Church Army is about sharing faith through words and action to transform lives by making Jesus famous. Their focus is on reaching the 7 out of 10 people who have little or no meaningful contact with church and those at the margins of our society.
Wycliffe Bible Translators
Of all the 6,900 known languages in the world, over 2,200 do not have a single verse of scripture. By 2025, Wycliffe aims to see a bible translation programme begun in all the remaining languages.
We have maintained a personal link with Ian and Gill Cheffy throughout their ten years living and working in Cameroon and since their return to the UK. Ian is now a member of the Advocacy and Alliance Building team and Gill is the Children's Education Coordinator for families with children working in the field.
Yeldall Manor is a Christian rehabilitation centre in Hare Hatch (just on the outskirts of Twyford and Ruscombe). It is home to up to 35 men who want to overcome their drug or alcohol addictions. Yeldall welcomes visitors to its annual Open Day, quarterly Celebrations and monthly prayer meetings.
We also support the Berkshire Clergy Charity, Christian Aid and the Earl Haigh Fund, together with others charities and organisations as need arises.
